James Corden to Host the Grammys
Broadway found him first on this side of the pond, America! Tony winner James Corden has been enlisted to host the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. After nailing emcee duties at this year’s Tony ceremony on CBS, it’s perhaps no surprise that the network has tapped its Carpool Karaoke king for music’s biggest awards show on February 12, 2017. LL Cool J has hosted the past five Grammys, but Corden is no stranger to big musical events; he has presented the notoriously tricky Brit Awards in the U.K. on multiple occasions.
Hang Out With the Hamilton Cast in a Hotel
You probably don't want to throw away your shot here. The Hamilton cast will be performing an array of songs of their choice on December 4 at 7PM in The Living Room at W New York—Times Square. It's all part of the venue's Broadway series; standard standing admission is free, with reserved seating for a nominal fee. Happy holidays!
Robert Fairchild & More Set for Kiss Me, Kate
An American in Paris standout Robert Fairchild will take on the role of Bill, with Heléne Yorke as Lois, Chuck Cooper as Harry Trevor/Baptista, Richard Kind as Gangster and John Pankow as Gangster in the upcoming Roundabout one-night only benefit concert reading of Kiss Me, Kate. Led by the previously announced Kelli O’Hara as Lilli Vanessi and Will Chase as Fred Graham, the Cole Porter classic is scheduled for December 12 at Studio 54. With direction by Scott Ellis and choreography by Warren Carlyle, those lucky enough to attend are in for an incredible night!
Jason Sudeikis Hasn't Messed Up Dead Poets Yet
Jason Sudeikis is headlining Dead Poets Society and he stopped by The Tonight Show on November 21 to talk about the world premiere. "This is a legit thing," he exclaimed to Jimmy Fallon. "I haven't messed up yet," Sudeikis continued, although we don't think he'll be forgetting Robert Frost in a hurry. The John Doyle-helmed production is playing at Classic Stage Company, now through December 18.
